Every first Sunday of the month, the sylvan surroundings of the Nageswara Park in Mylapore, come alive with the voices of young upcoming artists. The occasion being ‘ The Sunday Kutcheri in the Park ’, a program that is organized by Sundaram Finance Limited every month.

The concept started with the Mylapore Festival, an annual event, where the talents of youngsters were showcased. The concert went on to become a monthly program at the behest of the walkers in the park. The Sunday Kutcheri in the Park promotes young children below 15 years of age and gives them a platform for demonstrating their musical skill. The unique feature of this program is that, this is a mike-less concert.

Sai Nishanthi

Ms. Sai Nishanthi, a student of DAV School will present a one-hour mike less concert at the `Sunday Kutcheri at the Park’ on June 2, 2013.

Sai Nishanthi has been learning classical carnatic music under the tutelage of Smt. Vasanthi Gopal for last 8 years. She has presented concerts in various music and cultural forums, besides several temples in the city. She has taken part in music competitions and won accolades for herself.

Sai Nishanthi will be performing at the Nageswara Rao Park on June 2, 2013.
